DMNS Case Study

Introduction

DNMS is a short form of The Division of Nursing and Midwifery Services; was established in April 2015 to oversee the quality of nursing and midwifery services provided in Tanzania and to develop guidelines that serve as a foundation for all stakeholders involved in maintaining and improving quality standards. The Division of Nursing and Midwifery Services (DNMS) is operating under the Ministry Of Health Of Tanzania.

Project Requirements

  • DMNS wanted to create a 60-120-page midwifery publication that could be shared online and distributed in print to all nurses employed in Tanzania's health sector.
  • They also requested us to develop a decent plan for improving communication within division, a strategy that will have a beneficial influence in the health sector.

What We Did

  • We developed the content and created a well-designed publication that is easy to understand, attractive and informative, with shorter pages.
  • We also explored making an audiobook version of the publication due to the hectic schedules of the intended audience, which the management was extremely thrilled about.

Project Outcomes

  • We have already completed the english and swahili version of DMNS publication which is expected to be printed and distributed to all ministries, key stakeholders, decision makers and nurses across all region of Tanzania.
